Maastricht is home to many different museums. At the Bonnefanten museum you can indulge in the wonders of modern art, or you can travel back into the prehistoric world of the Mosasaurus at the Natural History Museum. And at Museum aan het Vrijthof, you can learn everything you've always wanted to know about photography.
In "Pas de deux," the art at Bonnefanten comes to life in an innovative manner, thanks to a unique collaboration between the museum and regional art collectors. These collectors bring their own artworks together with iconic pieces from the Bonnefanten collection. As a result, art "around the corner" is displayed, typically concealed from the public eye. This exhibition sheds new light on the museum collection, seen through the eyes of private collectors, resulting in a more captivating and diverse narrative. The four collectors collaborating with Bonnefanten are Netty and Jeu van Sint Fiet, as well as Gert and Nicole Beijer.
The exhibition can be viewed at Bonnefanten. "Pas de deux" will be on display until December 3, 2023.
