Carl Cheng: Nature Never Loses
T/m 28 September
Carl Cheng's "Nature Never Loses" exhibition features forward-looking artworks that explore the connection between humans, nature and technology.

"Nature Never Loses" is the first major solo exhibition of Chinese-American artist Carl Cheng (b. 1942, San Francisco) in Europe. The exhibition offers a comprehensive overview of Cheng's artworks from the past 60 years. His life's work shows that he was ahead of his time.
His art explores the connection between humans, nature and technology. With rapid technological developments and the increasing importance of nature, Cheng invites us to reflect on our interaction with nature. For Cheng, art is not only about making beautiful things, but also about asking important questions and raising issues about changes in the world.
Carl Cheng: Nature Never Loses is organised by Alex Klein, chief curator and director of curatorial affairs at The Contemporary Austin (US), in collaboration with the Institute of Contemporary Art, University of Pennsylvania (US), Bonnefanten, Museum Tinguely (Basel) and Institute of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles (US).
