Because at Vrijthof 8, you can recently discover an oasis of luxury when it comes to cocktail sipping. Owner Jeanneau proudly explains that his travels have allowed him to bring a lot of inspiration to Maastricht. And we taste it back in our city's newest cocktail bar. Who are WY? That's Wouter and Ilya. And what do these ambitious entrepreneurs from Maastricht stand for? A welcoming place with a heart for quality and gastronomy, proudly located on Tongersestraat. The gateway to the bustling city centre. Nothing is obligatory and literally anything goes. But with honest prices and obvious products. Because Wouter and Ilya never compose the menu in a compulsory order, the concept lends itself to daily changing dishes. How the wind blows, the menu blows. And WY love that in turn!

Le Smash
Blown over from America with a home base in Amsterdam, Le Smash is a so-called burger resto where they have elevated burger flipping to an art. The idea of this 'smashed' burger originated at a burger shop in America. Here, an employee discovered that when he flipped the meat while grilling it with an aluminium can, insane flavours were released. A rather specific cooking technique that not only creates a pretty picture for onlookers, but also a mouth-wateringly delicious burger! From now on, you can taste it in the Jeker Quarter.
