From maternity wear to maternity gifts and from baby clothes to unique sustainable toys. What's so great about this boutique is that the staff love nothing more than advising you with full attention. 'TIES

es, spring really does arrive sooner or later. Now and then, we’re already treated to sunny days that leave us wanting more. At 'TIES, they play into that feeling perfectly, their artisan gelato brings a taste of summer, even on a slightly gloomy day. And if it’s pouring down? No problem, you can always warm up with a takeaway coffee and a homemade waffle. It doesn’t take long to notice the Italian character of the place. When we ask the friendly staff about it, they point to the family connection with Basta Gastrobar, right next door. Just another reason to order a fresh scoop, and a cannoli. Turns out, Italian gastronomy pairs surprisingly well with the Maastricht spirit.

  • 'TIES

'TIES makes ice cream with authentic Italian ice cream machines. Prefer a waffle? You can do that too. Or coffee with various sweets for the road. More info about 'TIES

Sicilery

Questo sa di più! "That tastes like more", they must have thought at Sicilery... Because in addition to their original location at the Tapijnkazerne, they have also recently moved their Italian kitchen to the Grote Gracht. For those who don't know Sicilery yet, here you can enjoy all kinds of Italian delicacies that they (mostly) make themselves. World-famous in Maastricht by now is the home-made arancini. These are Italian risotto balls full of flavour! Andiamo! Settle down at the Tapijnkazerne during a walk in the city park or visit Sicilery in the old town on the Grote Gracht

MADAQ

As a final tip, you can choose from several hot chocolate varieties at MADAQ, all made with real single-origin chocolate for an intense taste experience. They serve dark chocolate, yuzu-caramel and pecan & Madagascan vanilla (vegan) among others, as well as white chocolate versions and coffee-related flavours inspired by their bonbon range. So here you don't just get chocolate milk, but really something special to enjoy.
