This exhibition presents a cross-section of Klaus Kaufmann's work from 2016 to 2024.
This exhibition presents a cross-section of his work from 2016 – 2024. In his objects, Kaufmann deals with various materials such as wood, metal, found objects and nails. Rusty, bent nails symbolize people. He brings these everyday objects, all fragments of our extra-artistic reality, into a new context.
His art is biting, obviously humorous and often with a lot of depth. The underlying meaning needs to be developed by the viewer. The titles of the objects are always an important component of the artwork. The object and the title are to be seen as two parts of a whole, so the work of art works in the interaction of both the visual and the linguistic aspect.
