Maastricht is the place where Europe changed forever, with the signing of the Treaty on European Union in February 1992. Although the treaty was actually signed in the Gouvernement building on the outskirts of the city, you will find a number of sites spread across the city that are a reminder of this historic event. We have put together a route that takes in these special places, each with their own story.
