3 days in Maastricht: adventure, tasting and discovery

Do you fancy a city trip full of surprises, adventure and hidden gems? Then Maastricht is your playground! With its mix of history, rugged nature and vibrant city life, the city is perfect for an adventurous three-day city break. No time to sit still, discover what awaits!

Day 1: Arrival - & initial discoveries

Checking in!

You have arrived: welcome to Maastricht! Coming by car? You can easily park it in the car park behind The Social Hub in the Sphinx Quarter, your home for the next few days - a place full of creative energy. Coming by public transport? A bus stops nearby in the street. Just check in, drop your stuff and discover what this place has to offer.

Lunch by the water

You only have to walk out the front door of The Social Hub and you will already see it: Lumière Cinema. A striking building, namely a national monument built in 1910 that functioned as a power station for industry in the Sphinx Quarter. Now it is a movie house, with a cosy Grand Café. Whether you sit inside or outside, having lunch here is a unique experience. Inside you sit in the impressive hall where you feast your eyes on the details, and outside you sit by the water of 't Bassin. The menu does not disappoint either: a varied lunch menu with soups, savoury sandwiches, tasty burgers, light salads, with both meat and vegetarian options. Enjoy!
