It has been 'blooming business' at Frissen-Pieters since 1847. Owner Michel (5th generation of the business) runs this fantastic (small, but oh so nice) flower shop together with his wife Loes. On Onze-Lieve-Vrouwenplein, they sell royal bouquets (yes, they are purveyors to the royal household!) and beautiful decorative items such as special vases and figurines. Being a florist is in their blood and they share this with a funny anecdote: "One of our daughters is called Bloeme. After she was born, our son Sebastiaan was surprised when we went to sell flowers or had to water them. He thought it was about his little sister...' We won't be surprised if the trade is instilled in them at an early age.

The staff at this shop (which you can visit not only in Sint Pieter but also in the Belfort district) are not only known for their passion for flowers. The connection with the neighbourhood is something that really characterises and perhaps sets them apart. What their customers come for?
