This exhibition commences with the legend of Leonardo da Vinci and his groundbreaking works, featuring masterpieces such as the Mona Lisa and the Salvator Mundi, the most expensive painting ever auctioned, fetching a staggering $450 million in 2017 at Christie's in New York.
The exhibition unveils the complete collection of all codices of Leonardo da Vinci, published in limited editions in the 20th century. As visitors, you'll be captivated by the breathtaking drawings selected from the 7,000 pages of his masterpieces. These include a wealth of reflections and sketches on diverse domains such as geology, optics, anatomy, mathematics, mechanics, physics, and astronomy.
Special attention is given to the codices Arundel, Atlanticus, and Leicester, owned by none other than Bill Gates.
