Jazz concert: Johan de Haan & Peter Willems | Double bass, piano and vocals
MaastrichtJohan and Peter in this duo deliver a blend of original compositions, old blues, and jazz tunes, immersed in their unique sound featuring harmonized vocals, piano, and double bass.
In 2019, Peter achieved the second prize during the Princess Christina Jazz Competition in Amsterdam.
"Star potential: that's the word that lingers when the dust settles after his performance...," said the jury about Peter. Since then, Peter has collaborated with prominent musical personalities such as Grammy-nominated guitarist Gary Lucas and Sabine Kühlich, hailed as "Europe's most talented jazz singer" by the Montreux Jazz Voice Competition. And now, he takes the stage with Johan de Haan.
Johan has been active for years in the Euregional jazz scene with his band BB Three, releasing several albums and gracing numerous stages with both vibrant grooves and intimate listening pleasure.
