In honor of their member Mya Besselink's 90th birthday, Soroptimist International Club Zuid-Limburg is organizing a benefit concert. The concert promises to be a special evening featuring performances by Limburg bass-baritone Huub Claessens and renowned Limburg pianist Roger Braun.
Huub Claessens, a Limburg bass-baritone, graduated cum laude from the Maastricht Conservatory, where he studied solo singing/opera under Mya Besselink and saxophone under Norbert Nozy. He has had a successful career as an opera and concert singer worldwide.
Roger Braun is a well-known Limburg pianist who completed his studies in Maastricht, Amsterdam, and Stuttgart under the guidance of Konrad Richter. He is recognized as one of the best song accompanists in the Netherlands.
Together, they will make a unique musical contribution to the event. The proceeds from the concert will go to the Maastricht Conservatorium Foundation.
