On this special evening, Luciana Elizondo (viola da gamba), Adriaan Severins (field recordings), and Guy Vandromme (Indian harmonium) perform the work where Michael Pisaro-Liu first integrated field recordings into his compositions. This work explores the boundaries between sound, silence, chance and brings the sonorous world of our environments to the concert hall.
A room outdoors is a masterpiece that for the first time combined the harmony between the outer field and the interior space, an experience where the walls of the traditional musical environment fade away. This concert is a tribute to the groundbreaking work of Michael Pisaro-Liu.
