This wonderful story tells the tale of Gretel and the mischievous Hänsel who are sent into the forest by their wicked mother to gather berries. As darkness falls, they find themselves unable to retrace their steps back home. As the night progresses, the two of them are startled by strange sights and sounds, but a beautiful dream gets them through to the morning. Standing in front of a life-size house made of candy and gingerbread, they're lured inside by its owner. However, the house turns out to belong to a witch, whose only desire is to bake the children in her oven. Of course, she gets her due at the hands of Hänsel and Gretel, leading to one of the happiest endings of all fairy tales.
