We all love that holiday feeling. But where’s the best place to go if you’re looking for some peace and quiet? Luckily, we have lots of great tips for anyone looking to spend a peaceful holiday in Maastricht.
TIP 1: EARLY BIRD
Several studies have shown that getting up early is good for you! And given that many people have a lie-in during their holidays, the early birds really do have the city to themselves. Check out the city’s opening hours on this page and be the first to explore!
TIP 2: EXPLORE MAASTRICHT'S NEIGHBORHOODS!
Maastricht is a wonderfully compact but incredibly multifaceted city thanks to its distinctive and characteristic neighbourhoods. The Sphinx Quarter is a confluence of innovation while Wyck is a hub of creativity. The Stokstraat Quarter has the history and 'sjiek’ (local dialect for chic) style, and the Jeker Quarter is in tune with its jazzy vibes. We have created a few ‘Experience Walks’ in addition to our Official Maastricht Guides. You can go on these walks at your leisure to discover Maastricht's neighbourhoods. We have an ‘Experience Walk’ through Wyck and Céramique, and one through the Sphinx Quarter.
