Bar Beurre
Opened in autumn 2023 and an instant hit: Bar Beurre. Located on the edge of the City Park in the Jekerk Quarter. This hotspot is run by young duo Robin Hameleers and Jesper Michels. The menu features French classics with a contemporary twist. The lobster with beurre blanc is a favourite among fish lovers. With no more than 25 covers, dining is intimate. Nice to know: every month they organise a BEURRE night - including a DJ. Bar Beurre is open Thursday to Monday for dinner. On Sundays, slide in for Sunday lunch.

Restaurant Pakhoes
A few streets away sits Restaurant Pakhoes. At the helm in the kitchen is Guidy Wolfs. For more than 30 years, he has been chef and owner of this classic French-Belgian restaurant. A favourite on the menu is Canadian lobster. One of the most popular types of lobster thanks to its sweet flavour and juicy meat. Order the lobster as a starter with mango and curry, or as a main course with garlic butter. There are also plenty of vegetarian and meat options on the menu. Take a seat on their fine terrace overlooking the Maas or book a table inside and soak up the atmosphere of the listed building. Restaurant Pakhoes serves dinner from Tuesday to Saturday.

Fish restaurant Les Trois Seaux, located in the Sphinx Quarter, is a popular hotspot for fish lovers. The Fruits de mer Royal is highly recommended. Although the fresh oysters, lobster and King Crab are also among the favourites. You will also find shrimp croquettes, tuna, wild sea bass and sole on the menu.
