South Limburg's Heuvelland is a special area. The hills and nature soon make you feel like you are in France. In this, the vineyards you encounter in various places play a nice role. Because growing wine in the Netherlands is impossible anywhere else like in the south. The wines are special in taste: you taste the Limburg landscape. The landscape that has unique characteristics.

BOB Mergelland

The Mergelland PDO in South Limburg is an official wine region approved by the European Union and has been in existence since 6 March 2018. These South Limburg wines possess unique characteristics due to the hilly landscape, ranging from 49 to 322 metres above sea level. Only vineyards on loess soil are allowed to carry this label, which provides the typical base of fresh and fruity, white Limburg wines.
