Anyone walking along the Vrijthof Square cannot escape it: the small blue-grey building, standing out stately against the backdrop of two iconic churches. An important building in the city's military history. For instance, it once served as the command centre of the military garrison, the place where the city guards resided and where the keys to the city gates and fortifications were kept.

With the departure of the last military in town, today it has a completely different function and hosts exhibitions. You can rent rooms there for meetings or even, more romantically, get married!
