Guided tour of Fort Sint Pieter
Fort Sint Pieter stands proudly on the Mount Saint Peter and dates back to the early 18th century. The fort remains largely intact, offering a unique insight into a rich piece of history. An Official Maastricht Guide will take you on a fascinating tour of this unique fort. Private tours are available for groups of 15 or more.
What makes a visit particularly interesting is the fort’s location: it stands directly above the Grotten Noord, Maastricht’s mysterious underground cave system. Deep within the caves, there is no sound or light whatsoever, nor is there any mobile phone reception, meaning you can only explore this hidden part under the guidance of an Official Maastricht Guide. Not only educational, but also very exciting!

Flaai-baking workshop
If we say South Limburg, you say "vlaai"! Recently, bakers may only call their flan Limburg flan if it meets various requirements within the brand new quality mark. We really understand this, because flan baking is a true art. Master this art during a flan-baking workshop at de Bisschopsmolen. A special bakery in the heart of Maastricht. A sweet activity for young and old and can also be combined with a lunch in the bakery's brasserie! Naturally, you will take home your homemade flan after the workshop.

Scooter trip Grotten Zonneberg
Let’s stay in mysterious underground Maastricht for a little while longer. Because for the truly adventurous and sporty, a scooter tour has been mapped out through the caves. Discover the deepest secrets of the Mount Saint Peter by scooter, accompanied by a Maastricht Underground guide. On a scooter, you can reach places you wouldn’t get to on a normal guided tour. At present, the cave system still comprises some 8,000 passages with a total length of around 80 kilometres. No sound, no mobile signal, no light… Just the path your guide lights up for you with a head torch to help you along. Exciting, isn’t it?
