On Kings Day, Maastricht transforms into a city full of liveliness and togetherness. At various locations in the city, you can feel the energy of the holiday: people meet each other, chime in on life and enjoy the city's unique atmosphere. The squares are the stage for music, performances and art. It is a day for young and old alike!

The programme

If you want to experience Koningsnacht, head to the Vrijthof at Oranjennacht with Lucas & Steve. Expect a line-up including La Fuente, John Tana, Feest DJ Ruud, Sam Hofman and Groove Safari. The next day, on King's Day itself, the Vrijthof will again be packed during Oranjegloed, with Limburg party energy and artists such as Zoëper, John Tana, Guus Niesing, Shaking DJs, Frans Theunisz, Erwin and DJ Marvin.

If you are looking for a different sound, then the Sphinx Quarter is your itinerary. There, the Ra:dius Festival takes place on the Radium Terrain, with multiple stages and a varied programme.

Between music and terraces there is also the classic: the free market, which you will find in the Stadspark. In addition, many shops in the city remain open, making it easy to combine Kings Day with a round of shopping.

In retrospect: Kings Day Maastricht 2022

It was a day to remember, 27 April 2022. The royal family visited Maastricht and got to know the lives of Limburg. From innovation at Brightlands to sour meat on Onze Lieve Vrouweplein. It was insanely beautiful! Do you want to know what this day was like?
