Provincial Government of Limburg

Provincial Government of Limburg is an architecturally very interesting building with a rich art collection.

The Provincial Government of Limburg (1986) is an architecturally very interesting building built along the Maas and partly on an island in the river.

The art collection contains more than 1,350 works. During the tour, you walk through the main rooms in the building and get a brief explanation of how the provincial government works. The table on which the Maastricht Treaty was signed in the Gouvernement - February 1992 - is one of the reminders of the Maastricht Euro Summit.

Would you like to see the Provincial Government of Limburg inside and find out what the Province is up to? Visitors are welcome again since 1 April 2022. You can get a free guided tour by appointment if you come with a group of minimum 15 and maximum 50 people.

The standard programme lasts an hour and a half. You will then walk with the guide through the most beautiful part of the Provincial Government of Limburg. A tour specifically on the Maastricht Treaty and its history is also possible.
