Jekerdal
The Jekerdal is home to a lot of special nature, including the vineyards of the Apostelhoeve and Nekummerhoeve.

By Limburg standards, Jekerdal is a relatively small valley. Due to its southern location and the tranquillity of the area, there is a lot of special nature here, including the vineyards of the Apostelhoeve and Nekummerhoeve. The Romans grew wine here as early as the 17th century. Among other things, the limestone in the soil provides the right characteristics for wine cultivation. All over Europe, many vineyards have therefore traditionally been planted on limestone or calcareous soils.
