Welcome to the Dinghuis
To mark 100 years of Pieke Dassen, a special public afternoon will take place at the Dinghuis on Wednesday 23 September. This event will focus on the life, work and lasting significance of this Maastricht artist and founder of puppet theatre.
In an open discussion, the makers of the exhibition and members of the Pieke Dassen Foundation will take visitors through the story behind his work: the artistic vision, his influence on figure theatre and the way his legacy still inspires today.

There will be plenty of room to ask questions, share memories and talk to each other about the value of heritage, imagination and theatre. The meeting constitutes a deepening moment within the Pieke Parcours and connects in content to the exhibition at the Dinghuis.

The public afternoon is free and suitable for a wide audience: from theatre lovers to curious visitors who want to (re)discover Pieke Dassen.
