Visit the American Cemetery | Margraten

Endless rows of thousands of identical white crosses stand on a green grassy plain. An impressive sight that touches, with a serenity that stands in stark contrast to the horror of war.

Indeed, each cross represents one fallen American war hero who fought for the freedom of the Netherlands during World War II. Listen to the guide's touching human stories and learn about the history of this place. Also visit the Square of Honour with tower, chapel, pond and 'Wall of the missing'.

Tours are given in Dutch and English. This activity is also suitable as a school outing to which a specific educational theme can be attached upon request.
