The walk is combined with a unique visit to the Minorite Monastery, better known as ‘the building with the crack’. The striking crack in the façade marks the spot where the city wall from 1229 once stood. During restoration work, this wall was made visible again and the historic line was symbolically extended into the brickwork. In the historic monastery, now home to the Limburg Historical Centre, you’ll visit, amongst other things, the former monastery church, now an impressive reading room.
