The Sint-Janskerk (also called the 'Sint Jan of Maastricht') is the Protestant brother of the Catholic Sint Servaas, right next door. Unmistakable because of its red tower and unmissable in the Maastricht skyline. Walk inside and learn all about the unique historical elements, different years of construction or climb up. Up to the first circumference, some 45 metres high, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Maastricht!

In its current appearance, the tower dates from the mid-15th century. But nothing is what it seems! In fact, the church was not always Protestant.

Every Sunday, the Protestant Congregation Maas-Heuvelland holds a worship service at 10 am that is open to everyone.

Prices

  • Adults €4.00 Admission to the church is free, only an entrance fee applies to visit the tower.
