De Bordenhal is the theatre of Toneelgroep Maastricht, located in the former factory building of the same name on the east bank of the river Meuse in Maastricht. It is within walking distance of Maastricht railway station and Onze Lieve Vrouweplein (via the footbridge). From 2000 to 2013, our venue went through life as Derlon Theatre.
In the Bordenhal, built around 1880, tableware was hand-painted well into the 20th century. As part of the redevelopment of the old Céramique factory site, the hall was remodelled by Jo Coenen in 1999. On the outside, the original architecture was left intact as much as possible; inside, a modern, multifunctional 'flat floor' hall with 200 seats arose
