In the middle of the Sphinx Quarter flaunts the iconic Eiffel building. Formerly a famous factory making sanitary ware, today it is a bustling national monument. Petrus Regoutplein & Sphinxcour
Around Petrus Regoutplein, shop green and healthy at organic shop Gedeelde Weelde and you will find the famous Maastricht coffee roaster Blanche Dael. Further explore the rich history in the 120-metre-long Sphinxpassage or take a look at Loods 5. 't Bassin
Did you already know that Maastricht boasts a historic inner harbour? The former storage cellars of 't Bassin have been transformed into restaurants and shops. Among other things, you'll find a porcelain shop by local makers. Across the street from 't Bassin shines one of Maastricht's gems where you can rest after shopping: Lumière. This cinema is located in the old power plant of the Sphinx factories.
