Once a beloved café known for its late night parties, it is now a trendy bar with breathtaking decor. But it is not just the interior by Hans Kuijten that draws you in. Think warm tones, eclectic wall prints, a mix of textures, a showstopping wine cabinet and a spacious central bar. This is also the perfect place for dining and drinks. Choose from the à la carte menu or go for shared dishes. The concept is French Asian, with plenty of room for seasonal flavours.

Around the corner from Bar Nola we find Muchachas, a fashion shop that breathes minimalism. In the interior and in the collection. Here you shop stylish, modern yet outspoken women's clothes, accessories and shoes in an urban setting.

Anyone feeling peckish while out shopping would do well to walk just a little further than the nearest terrace. Just outside the hustle and bustle of the city centre you’ll find Ginnies Bakery. The Social Hub

If you are looking for an urban place to stay, choose The Social Hub. This hotel is located in the iconic Eiffel Building, a former industrial complex of the Royal Sphinx factory. During the renovation of the building and the construction of the hotel, the industrial character and historical features were carefully preserved. This speakeasy cocktail bar opened in autumn 2024 and is unlike any other. Here, cocktail shaking is elevated to an art form. The menu features a few classics with a twist, though it is highly recommended to try one of the signature cocktails. These drinks come with a personal touch, from a playful nod to a holiday in Fiji, to the Portuguese roots of team member João, to an homage to the cherry pie from Bakkerij Peter Lemmens (a must try).

Muziekgieterij

Concert hall, club, music venue… The Muziekgieterij, conveniently located just a few meters walk from The Social Hub, is the place to be for live music in Maastricht. Housed in a former industrial site, the venue offers more than just a night of dancing to your favourite music genre as anything goes here. The Muziekgieterij also hosts cultural events such as film screenings and debate evenings and supports emerging local musicians through workshops, coaching and performance opportunities.
