Dancing (back) in the Park

Location: Stadspark, Maastricht
Dancing (back) in the Park brings the magic of moving together back to the heart of Maastricht. Once the Stadspark was the place where Maastricht people came together to dance, and this beloved tradition is now getting a contemporary revival in the Vrijheidspark. Over a two-day weekend, workshops, free dance moments and a joint flashmob invite everyone to hit the dance floor, regardless of experience or age.
The event shows how dance connects generations, cultures and neighbourhoods. Young and old, locals and visitors can move together, discover and enjoy the fun that dance brings. Dancing together creates spontaneous encounters and new connections that extend beyond the park. Dancing (back) in the Park is a feast for body and mind, a moment to celebrate city life and relive its rich tradition.
Petit Paris

Location: Jeker Quarter, Maastricht
The Jeker Quarter will transform into a slice of 1960s Paris during Petit Paris. With music, theatre, art and a touch of nostalgia, this event brings to life the neighbourhood's vibrant past, focusing on the colourful figure Giel "De Piele" Hameleers.
Maastrichters of all ages and backgrounds are invited to enjoy markets, performances and interactive activities. It is an experience that combines culture and history with the pleasure of being together. Petit Paris offers a unique opportunity to discover the city and its stories, while being immersed in the lively atmosphere of the past and present.
Music colours Maastricht

Location: Opus 9
Philzuid and Festival Vocallis bring classical music back to the streets and churches of Maastricht. The programme tells the city's rich musical history, from the Stadspark concerts of yesteryear to contemporary performances in Opus 9, the Sint-Theresiakerk as the cultural heart of the neighbourhood.
During this weekend, you will meet locals as well as visitors from the region and experience music that transcends generations and cultures. It is a warm, convivial experience where classical sounds create new connections and the past is given a living place in everyday city life.
The Pieke Parcours

Location: Various locations in Maastricht
The Pieke Parcours brings the work of puppeteer and artist Pieke Dassen back to life. Through theatre performances, exhibitions, workshops and public talks, visitors of all ages can actively participate and discover how his legacy continues to inspire.
The trail is an invitation to experience stories together, get creative and experience how art and heritage connect the city. Young and old, newcomers and established residents, come together in a lively journey of discovery that temporarily transforms Maastricht into a vibrant cultural theatre landscape.
TexTiles

Location: Plein 1992, Maastricht
TexTiles is a large textile project in which hundreds of Maastricht residents make a colourful rug together, inspired by the Maastricht Treaty. Each participant makes their own 40 x 40 cm tile, which together form a collective work of art.
The project is an invitation for young and old, newcomers and local residents, to work together, share stories and literally leave something tangible behind. The highlight is the BlockParty on Plein 1992, a party full of music, workshops and picnic, in which the rug becomes visible to all. TexTiles shows how collaboration and creativity bring a community closer together.
BeatClub Re:Mix

BeatClub Re:Mix brings the freedom spirit of the 1960s back to Maastricht. Young people aged 14 to 18 create their own 'Beat Club', inspired by the end of dance prohibition and the Provo movement of the time.
Under the guidance of SALLY Dance Company and Stadsnomade, they develop new forms of dance, expression and encounter. The project provides a safe, inspiring space where young people learn, experiment and present together. BeatClub Re:Mix is a lively tribute to the city tradition of dance and a modern meeting place for young talents.
Preuve vaan Toen

Preuve vaan Toen lets you taste and experience Maastricht's culinary history. From family recipes to historical delicacies, visitors are invited to join in cooking, tasting and sharing stories.
The event combines food with music, stories and local traditions, bringing together generations, cultures and communities. From Roman spice mixtures to sour meat and craft beers, this is a day to discover Maastricht's rich flavours, reminisce and make new connections.
