Amstel Gold Race 2026
UNTIL 19 April
The Amstel Gold Race brings top-class sport to South Limburg, with a spectacular start in Maastricht and finish in Valkenburg.
Start in the heart of Maastricht
The Market Square in Maastricht is the bustling setting for the start of the Amstel Gold Race. Cycling stars from all over the world gather here for one of the most important one-day races on the international calendar.
Iconic cycling classic
Since its first edition in 1966, the Amstel Gold Race has become the Dutch WorldTour classic. The race is known for its unique character: no long mountains, but a succession of short, steep hills and endless turns through the South Limburg countryside.
The Limburg course
Riders are presented with a challenging course with well-known climbs such as the Cauberg, the Keutenberg and the Eyserbosweg. These hills, combined with constant turning and twisting, make the course unpredictable and spectacular until the final kilometres.
Finish in Valkenburg
The denouement takes place in Valkenburg, traditionally the cycling city of the Netherlands. This is where the winner of this prestigious race will be revealed.
