AINSI

The Theater aan het Vrijthof programmes a large part of its dance, theatre and jazz concerts in AINSI, located in the former packaging building North of cement manufacturer ENCI at 112-113 Lage Kanaaldijk .

The letters of AINSI symbolise the mission of AINSI: Art Industry Nature Society Innovation. As a multidisciplinary building, the former industrial complex on the river Meuse functions as a gathering place for Creative Industry in Maastricht and the region. In late 2005, the RCE qualified the buildings as worthy of national monument status.

AINSI is located at the foot of Mount Saint Peter (Mount Saint Peter (st. Pietersberg Hill)) and on the banks of the river Meuse, about 10 minutes by bike from Maastricht city centre.
