De Krul is part of the old Noorderbrug that has remained as a memento and lookout point. De Krul is located at the edge of the Frontenkwartier and is free for pedestrians to enter.

In collaboration with about 20 young Maastricht residents and The SDG House Maastricht, Collin Van der Sluijs painted the pillars of this icon full of artworks that told something about the future of the city and the world (based on the sustainable development goals).
