Intro in Situ

Intro is known as an innovative production house for contemporary music performances. It also serves as an important stage for young pioneers in music and performing arts. Productions in which all possible influences of (modern) musical styles - Jazz, Pop, Wind music and even from Gregorian chant to Heavy Metal - can be found and in which adventurous crossovers are never missing. Intro has a special interest in talented young artists/makers at the beginning of their careers.

Intro is a typical network organisation always looking for shared responsibility between partners and reinforcing each other's specialities. Intro's role in this is: "initiating, guiding and (co-)producing between supply and demand. Intro works (inter)nationally, but also has a strong regional influence, not only through its connection with institutes involved in art education in Maastricht, but also through partnerships with many local art institutions and amateur ensembles.

Mission
As a workshop for contemporary music and sound art, Intro in Situ supports groundbreaking creators in their development.

Goal
Music and (sound) art lovers, chance audiences, (aspiring) musicians and adventurous culture visitors know how to find Intro in Situ as the place in Limburg and the borderland between Maastricht, Aachen and Liège for a contemporary range of music and sound art: future-oriented sounds rooted in the here and now.
