Graanmarkt
Small markets used to be held here and there in the city for certain products, like this Graanmarkt for... grain.

Since the (Grand) Market had too little surface area, small markets were held here and there in the city for certain products. Grain, among others. Here was also the Our Lady Gate of the first city wall with a classicist guardhouse, which can still be admired.
The lime tree in front of the café terrace was planted to mark the birth of King Willem-Alexander in 1967, perhaps to the south in the park you can see the tree with silver trellis, planted to mark his coronation in 2013. Just up the stairs of the Onze Lieve Vrouwe city wall, you'll manage even better!
