Toneelgroep Maastricht is one of the great national theatre companies, the city company of Maastricht and the house company of Theater aan het Vrijthof. The image of man is central to Toneelgroep Maastricht's productions and that image is - in spite of the spirit of the times - positive.
The company is led by Michel Sluysmans, artistic director, and Frans Hendrickx, business director. Besides Michel, there are five other creators attached to the company: Servé Hermans, Eva Custers, Letizia Rompelberg, Ozan Aydogan and Zorba Huisman. Toneelgroep Maastricht wants to be a company that Limburg is proud of and the Netherlands and Flanders remain curious about.
De Bordenhal is Toneelgroep Maastricht's own theatre.
