In the beautiful former Ursulinen convent, in the centre of Maastricht, the Philadelphia Zorg, Werk & Begeleiding foundation has created a place where everyone is welcome and can develop their talents. People with a mental disability and distance from the labour market can come to us for daytime activities, work experience or a learning-working path. Taking that step takes guts. We do the work with love. And together we develop mastery.

The result is an ordinary and as independent life as possible for our participants. This is how we show them that they fulfil a beautiful function and are valued. In the Creative workshop, our participants make the most beautiful bags, mosaic creations and decorative items from sustainable, recycled materials. In our restaurant, young and old can come and enjoy fresh dishes prepared by our participants. Our menu reflects Maastricht, with home-grown products and local entrepreneurs. We grow some of our vegetables and herbs in our own monastery garden.

Finally, you can come to Gasterie VeerMestreech for business meetings, an anniversary, birthday or family party. Our monastery offers an excellent ambience for groups of 10 people or more. Be enchanted by the beautiful architecture and rustic charm while enjoying your favourite drinks and delicious snacks.
