Shopping & lunch

Friday morning, you start the day with a delicious hotel breakfast. Then it's time to explore the city further. You will visit the many boutiques and specialty shops in Wyck for the most original Christmas presents. Next, you cross the Sint Servaas bridge. On the other side, you walk left into the charming Stokstraat quarter to settle down for lunch at Petit Café Moriaan. A small but super cosy location to relax between the beautiful buildings and luxury shops.

Magical Maastricht

After all that shopping, it's time to visit Magical Maastricht Vrijthof, on the famous square that forms the backdrop of André Rieu's summer concert series. The magical winter event is also a household name in the region and for good reason. You take a ride on the Ferris wheel and/or tie on some skates, drink a mulled wine or hot chocolate in one of the winter huts and look around quietly at the many stalls. There is something for all ages to enjoy here. Among the festive lights and decorations, you will get the ultimate Christmas feeling.

Dinner & concert

Then it is already time for dinner. For that, you will be dining at Petit Bonheur, a charming French-style restaurant. You choose dishes from the varied menu and let it taste good. There won't be much time for after-dinner drinks as there is another activity on the programme: André Rieu's winter concert! After dinner, you will walk back to the hotel to leave all purchases behind and freshen up. Then you will take the public transport or car to event location MECC Maastricht, where a unique experience awaits you. An evening full of Christmas atmosphere, romantic waltzes and Christmas songs will follow. This is perhaps the highlight of your visit to Maastricht. Afterwards, you will return to your hotel, tired but very satisfied.

Sniffing culture

On Saturday morning, you chat about the concert over breakfast at the hotel. You check out but leave your luggage for a while. After all, it would be a shame to leave the city without taking in some culture. A walk along the river Maas brings you to Bonnefanten Museum. Its iconic architecture makes the building unmissable. Inside, you will find varied collections of art and interactive experiences. A drink and a snack in the museum café provide a tasty ending. Afterwards, it is already time to go home. You collect your luggage at the hotel and continue your way home. One thing is for sure: you are all set for a magical Christmas!
