International and interdisciplinary fashion event. The programme showcases projects that explore, contextualise and celebrate contemporary fashion culture.
The FASHIONCLASH Festival returns to Maastricht for its 18th edition. At various locations across the city, designers, artists and performers from home and abroad will showcase their work. The festival focuses on a new generation of creators and brings together fashion with art, performance and other disciplines.
New perspectives on fashion and culture
FASHIONCLASH provides a platform for creators who use fashion to tell stories and explore social and cultural themes. During the festival, visitors are introduced to various forms of presentation, spread across venues in Maastricht.
For this edition’s campaign, FASHIONCLASH is collaborating with the Sudanese visual artist and photographer Hashim Nasr. In his images, he brings together African and Middle Eastern cultural traditions with a surrealist and avant-garde visual language. Traditional symbols, clothing, rituals and objects are given a new context, with themes such as heritage, identity, connection and change taking centre stage.
ProgrammeThe full programme for the FASHIONCLASH Festival 2026 will be announced at a later date. During the festival, there will be activities and presentations to attend at various venues across Maastricht.

FASHIONCLASH Festival can be found in City Centre
Location
Shoppers will enjoy the city centre. This is where the main shopping streets and shopping centres can be found. This part of the city also has the well-known highlights such as the Vrijthof square and the town hall on the Markt square.
