Film Fest Vaes

Film Fest Vaes is a multifaceted film festival that takes place at Vaeshartelt Maastricht. The festival offers a unique experience where visitors can enjoy various films under the stars in the Park Cinema. There are also a whole host of special events in addition to regular film screenings, such as the Velo Film Fest, the Ocean Film Tour, Brooks Trail Running Fest, and the Limburger Crime Night.

The programme

• Monday 1 June: The kick-off of Film Fest Vaes 2026 with a theatre show by Dyanne Sleijpen and two inspiring guests.
• Tuesday 2 June: The AI Next '26 will feature films, talks and discussions on artificial intelligence, technology and its impact on our society.
• Wednesday 3 June: Two impact documentaries by Cinetree will be screened under the stars, incl. live talk by actress Hanna Verboom.
• Thursday, 4 June: Enjoy special films, live music and the unique festival atmosphere amid the greenery of the estate.
• Friday 5 June: An evening of cinema, meeting and relaxation with films, snacks and drinks in the open-air cinema.
• Saturday 6 June: Film, atmosphere and conviviality come together during a new festival day at Film Fest Vaes.
• Sunday 7 June: A relaxed Sunday programme including a family show, a viewing party of Grand Prix Monaco, and in the evening a musical film about Bruce Springsteen incl. live performance by the BruceBrothers.
• Monday 8 June: New film screenings and specials in the atmospheric setting of Film Fest Vaes.
• Tuesday 9 June: Get carried away by the Ocean Film Tour incl. contribution by Seashepherd.
• Wednesday 10 June: Velo Film Fest, where film and cycling culture come together in inspiring screenings and events.
• Thursday 11 June: At the Brooks Trail Running Film Fest, nature, adventure and trailrunning are the focus of inspiring film stories.
• Friday 12 June: During De Limburger Crime Night, Film Fest Vaes will focus on crime in Limburg and discover how criminal networks continue to evolve
• Saturday 13 June: Get carried away by Sinners. A supernatural horror film set in the 1930s in the segregated south of the US.
• Sunday 14 June: The conclusion of Film Fest Vaes with a cosy festival day full of film, atmosphere and picnic on the Vaeshartelt estate.
