Mosa Jazz Collective

Tribute to Thad Jones
The Mosa Jazz Collective opens its new concert series, Mosa Jazz Lab, with a musical tribute tothe legendary jazz composer and trumpeter Thad Jones. During ‘Thad Jones and More’, well-known compositions from *The Book of Thad Jones* will be combined with new pieces and the collective’s own repertoire.

Special guest soloists
For this specialevening, the Mosa Jazz Collective welcomes two guest soloists from the Danish Radio Big Band: Ari Braggi Karason and Petter Hängsel. Together with the Limburg jazz musicians, they will create a unique musical collaboration.

Jazz tradition and innovation
Thad Jones’ music forms the starting point for a musical dialogue between well-known jazz classics, improvisation and new compositions. In this way, the rich jazz tradition and the contemporary Limburg jazz scene come together for one evening at the Muziekgieterij.
