Close to Maastricht, under Cannerberg, lies a hidden underground corridor system that is unique in the world: Jesuit Mountain. Once a place where block breakers mined marl, this extraordinary system was transformed into a true work of art between 1880 and 1960 by Jesuits in training. In the abandoned corridors, they created an unparalleled collection of paintings, sculptures and reliefs, all crafted in and on the soft marl.
