Louisiana Heat
For a moment, you’ll feel as though you’re not in the south of the Netherlands, but in Louisiana, USA. Louisiana Heat brings the unique sound of New Orleans to Maastricht: funky, soulful and, above all, wonderfully energetic.
Music from New Orleans
Louisiana Heat’s music is rooted in the musical ‘melting pot’ of New Orleans. Expect the irresistible funk of The Meters and The Neville Brothers, the characteristic second line of Dr John and Earl King, and the up-tempo R&B of Robert Parker and Huey ‘Piano’ Smith.
As well as these well-known influences, Louisiana Heat also plays plenty of their own songs.
