Paleis Het Loo in Apeldoorn was built at the end of the 17th-century as a hunting lodge and summer residence for the House of Orange-Nassau, the royal family that has reigned the Netherlands for centuries.

For the reopening, Prince Bernhard's drawing room will be returned to its former state. The paintings in this room are in need of a thorough restoration. In this Tefaf & the City presentation, one painting (before restoration) of this interior can be seen.

Visitors interested in following the entire restoration process are invited to visit SRAL’s Open Studio in the Bonnefantenmuseum in Maastricht.
