The annual blockbuster is back again: the World Press Photo exhibition. The exhibition, which attracts over 10,000 visitors in Maastricht alone, is not only an overview of the best press photos of the year, it also stands as a historical record of events.
This year’s winner is Ronaldo Schemidt. The Venezuelan photographed uprisings in his hometown of Caracas in May 2017. This photograph is one of the 161 images taken by the 42 photographers featured in the exhibition.
