Call for hobby cooks: submit your best Maastricht recipe. In honour of the Maastricht Year, we are highlighting Maastricht culture. We do this by reviving old regional dishes or family recipes that used to be on the table every week. That is why we are looking for
We’re on the lookout for the very best Maastricht dishes created by amateur chefs from the city and the surrounding region. Think of classics such as zoervleis, tête de veau, duvelkesvleis, tuttekessop, videeke or any other typical Maastricht dish. A jury of culinary enthusiasts will select a number of amateur chefs from all the entries. They will be invited to present their dish on Sunday 27 September at Brouwerij Bosch. The nine winners will receive €500 in store credit at Kookwinkel Oldenhof Maastricht. The winning recipes will be prepared by a professional caterer on 8 November and will be available for the general public to sample that day at the Muziekgieterij, accompanied by nostalgic Maastricht music and historic Maastricht beers.
Anyone who thinks they can create a fantastic, unique and delicious Maastricht-style dish is challenged to take part.
