Minne Kersten presents recent and new paintings, sculptures and film works in the Koetshuis, partly inspired by the place, including the Castle. In her often mysterious work, she explores the genius loci: the spirit of a place where memory, absence and transformation are intertwined.

Many of Kersten's works, which combine architecture, sculpture, light and film, focus on spaces in which something has happened or is about to happen. In these, the attic appears as a recurring motif: a reservoir of forgotten stories and a metaphor for memory.
