NDT 2 - Blast a universe

In 'Blast a universe', NDT 2 brings two iconic works from its repertoire back to the stage, complemented by a world premiere by choreographer Noé Soulier. The programme moves between stillness, experimentation and intense emotion.

Jiří Kylián - Sleepless
Sleepless arose from Kylián's reflection on the many sleepless nights choreographers experience during the creation process of new work. He was also inspired by the groundbreaking paintings of Argentinian artist Lucio Fontana. With complex duets and sophisticated musicality, Kylián explores the conscious and subconscious.

Noé Soulier - World premiere
Soulier approaches choreography as a study of movement: how movement works, how it enters and how we observe it. With a combination of experimental techno and natural sounds by composer Sa Pa, this new work promises to be a tantalising experience that you see and feel.

Marco Goecke - The Big Crying
Goecke created 'The Big Crying' shortly after the death of his father; one of his most personal and vulnerable works to date. Set to music by Tori Amos, watch the dancers move like broken machines with Goecke's signature complex and emotional movement language.
