In search of balance
The highly abstracted, lyrical paintings, which have been around since 1970, have, without exception, pointed and abrasive titles. Together, they make clear how André Dieteren, during his working life, was continuously and passionately searching for the right compositional and colouristic balance in his distinctive works of art.

Book publication
Also appearing on Saturday 20 June is the beautifully designed and richly illustrated bilingual book André Dieteren, Werken 1964/2025, published by designer Robbert Zweegman. The publication, with textual contributions by Rick Vercauteren and Guus van Engelshoven, sheds new light on all the evolutionary developments in the versatile oeuvre of visual artist André Dieteren, spanning more than sixty years.

Welcome speech
The welcome address on Saturday 20 June will be given at 16.00 by author and editor-in-chief Rick Vercauteren. During his talk, he will discuss the major visual threads in the exhibition and the complex genesis of the book.
