Lady Blackbird is known for her powerful and lived-in voice, which switches effortlessly between vulnerability and sheer power. Her music touches directly, with an emotional intensity that won't let you go.
From debut to deepening
After the critically acclaimed album Black Acid Soul, she returns with Slang Spirituals, her most personal work to date. In these new songs, she explores themes of liberation, identity and self-acceptance.
A rich musical mix
Her sound is a layered mix of jazz, soul, gospel, folk and even psychedelic rock. Working with producer Chris Seefried, she creates an album that feels both grand and intimate.
Live at the Muziekgieterij
