An interactive installation that invites people to experience the city in an unexpected way: through their sense of smell.
On show at Centre Céramique this summer, this installation encourages visitors to explore urban space. Not through maps, images or sounds, but through smell.
Inspired by the Japanese Future Design movement, the installation focuses on the stories, memories and emotions that smells can evoke. Elements that are often hidden under the speed and structure of everyday city life.
Cemre Kara is a multidisciplinary artist and researcher whose work explores the social impact of sensory experiences through participatory installations, performances and multisensory design. Grounded in research and collaboration, her practice bridges art and citizen science to foster collective engagement and create new ways of experiencing the environment.

Location
